Below is a collection of resources and tools that many of our clients find helpful.
Tax organizer
This is the best way to help us prepare your tax return and uncover hidden tax deductions. I have tax organizers for Individuals, S-Corporations, and Non Profits. Additional organizers can be provided as needed. Contact me for more info.
Federal income tax payments
Pay your federal balance due or estimated tax payments securely online. If you are filing a joint return, please schedule payment under the first person as listed on your tax return. It must match, otherwise you will receive an IRS notice. The instructions on the IRS payment website do not specifically state this.
Indiana income tax payments
Pay your Indiana taxes due or estimated tax payments securely online. Please input taxpayer and spouse information exactly as shown on your tax return.
Where's my refund
This site will give you the status of your refund. You can check the status within 24 hours after the IRS has received your e-file return or 4 weeks after you’ve mailed a paper return. It has the most up to date information about your refund.
Apply for a federal EIN
Employer Identification Numbers (EIN) are issued for the purpose of tax administration and are not intended for participation in any other activities (e.g., tax lien auction or sales, lotteries, etc.) You may apply for a Federal EIN online if your principal business is located in the United States or U.S. Territories. The person applying must have a valid Taxpayer Identification Number (SSN, ITIN, EIN).
Indiana tax registration (sales or withholding)
Use INBiz not only to register your business but also add necessary tax types. While there are several tax types, the most commonly used tax types are payroll tax withholding, sales, and food/beverage taxes. You may refer to the site for the complete list. Be sure to scroll to the bottom for “Register Now”.
File your business entity report
Businesses are required to file a report every other year to maintain active status. The business information is maintained by the state and provided to the public.
US Small Business Administration
The U.S. Small Business Administration helps Americans start, build, and grow businesses. The SBA was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation.
